I feel a little angry, and perhaps confused, today. Angry that the Swedish Democrats now have mandate in the Swedish government. Confused about all the hypocrisy one sees, for example amongst the Social Democrats, and other leftists, that claim they are such a 'pro-minority' party, although values, buried deep inside, that seem to me antisemitic. Where, and when, did his anti-Israel movement start in Sweden, and all over Europe, and why? How can a whole nation and beyond be so un-informed about what actually goes on. And how come so called 'human rights acitivists' care so much about the palistinians in Gaza but not about the 400 000 or so palestinians in Lebanon who live in misery beyond what has ever been witnessed in Gaza? How come the same people are more willing to support groups of people that in fact do not want a democracy, whilst Israel is a democracy? Because, that is what human rights mean to me. What nation would use their own children as targets in a war? What nation would sit and do nothing whilst being bombed on a daily basis? Synagogues in Sweden are under threat often, and then we naivly state that being anti-Israel has no link to antisemitism, please. Sweden is at the forefront in Europe of anti-Israel press. I want to get to the bottom of this, I feel very upset, and embarrased to be Swedish on this day.
